Brewing Tips
Great tea expereinces start with Lindsays Teas. But there are more ways to ensure you are sipping the most sumptuous cup, such as:
Measurements: For every 6 to 8 ounces of water add one tea bag, a level teaspoon of tightly rolled loose tea, or a slightly rounded teaspoon of bulkier loose tea.
Procedure: Always start with fresh, cool water. Add your tea to the cup first, heat your water and steep according to the directions below. Keep in mind that black teas, oolong teas, red teas, and herbal & fruit infusions like to bathe in water that is been brought to a rolling boil. Green teas prefer a gentler clime, just under boiling. White teas brew best in water that has not reached a boilng point. Then pour water over tea and steep accordingly:
Black Teas: Water Temperature 212 Steeping Time 5 minutes
Green Teas: Water Temperature 185-190 Steeping Time 2 to 3 minutes
White Teas: Water Temperature 175-180
Steeping Time 2 to 7 minutes
Oolong Teas: Water Temperature 212
Steeping Time 5 minutes
Red Teas: Water Temperature 212
Steeping Time 5 minutes
Herbal & Fruit Infusions: Water Temperature 212
Steeping Time 5 minutes.
Tea care: for the most fab flavor and freshness, store all your teas and infusions in a cool, dry place.
