Brewing Tips

Brewing Tips Great tea experiences start with Lindsay's Teas. But there are more ways to ensure you're sipping the most sumptuous cup, such as:

Measurements: For every 6 to 8 ounces of water add one tea bag, a level teaspoon of tightly rolled loose tea, or a slightly rounded teaspoon of bulkier loose tea.

Procedure: Always start with fresh, cool water. Add your tea to the cup first, heat your water and steep according to the directions below. Keep in mind that black teas, oolong teas, red teas, and herbal & fruit infusions like to bathe in water that's been brought to a rolling boil. Green teas prefer a gentler clime, just under boiling. White teas brew best in water that hasn't reached a boilng point. Then pour water over tea and steep accordingly:

Black Teas: Water Temperature 212 Steeping Time 5 minutes.

Green Teas: Water Temperature 185-190 Steeping Time 2 to 3 minutes.

White Teas: Water Temperature 175-180 Steeping Time 2 to 7 minutes.

Oolong Teas: Water Temperature 212 Steeping Time 5 minutes.

Red Teas: Water Temperature 212 Steeping Time 5 minutes.

Herbal & Fruit Infusions: Water Temperature 212 Steeping Time 5 minutes.

Tea care: for the most fab flavor and freshness, store all your teas and infusions in a cool, dry place.
